Ethanol FireplaceWe all witnessed the panic when crude oil touched $140 a barrel. With world’s fossil fuel reserves being consumed at a fast pace, any stability in fuel prices is just temporary at best. Greenhouses gases are threatening human existence on earth, making it necessary to explore alternate energy sources before it’s too late. Bio fuel is one of the promising options. Ethanol or Ethyl Alcohol is a type of bio fuel. In its pure form Ethanol is simply the beverage alcohol. However to use it as fuel it is “denatured”. Ethanol Fireplace uses this denatured ethanol for heat production. When ethanol is burned, the process is same as human breathing and Carbon Dioxide gas is produced.
